Patrick Bajari delivered the Inaugural MEBDI Lecture on Big Data in-person at the University of Minnesota. The title of his lecture was “The Use of Big Data in Industry: A View from the Front Lines.”

Patrick Bajari is Vice President and Chief Economist at Amazon, and a former professor of Economics at the University of Minnesota. Since joining in 2010, he has helped Amazon build teams in econometrics, machine learning and research science.
